Bushido is a philosophy and moral code that traces its roots back to ancient times. Containing a set of postulates alongside comprehensive education, the code demanded from the samurai impeccable fulfillment of duty, outstanding abilities, and constant diligence for self-improvement. Constantly thinking about death to be ready to give life with honor at any moment was the main task of the Japanese warriors. However, this ideology was not only aimed at them – in the absence of a husband, women became protectors of their homes from outsiders and even participated in real battles. "Bushido. The Warrior’s Code" is a unique collection of texts through which the reader will immerse in the era of Ancient Japan and see some things from a new perspective.
