Do you say duels are a thing of the past? Are you sure? When psychiatrist Oscar B. Markov comes to the station at Alexanderplatz to file a complaint against the person who challenged him to a duel, the police treat it as a bad joke. After all, in modern Berlin, such a "cultural practice" of dispute resolution has long been replaced by more civilized methods. Somewhere between a quiet monastery, an opera house, and a rain-soaked clearing, an incredible and very contemporary duel story unfolds at dizzying speed, combining grotesque and authenticity, irony and relevance.
