There Is No Moscow

In Alla Gorbunova's short prose collection, there really is no Moscow. There is an alien kitten, a philosophy teacher, a migrant worker, an unknown glowing substance, mobile phone salon employees, forest spirits (leshie) and kikimoras. And the idea that unites all the works in the collection is the idea of moving away from the comprehensible world toward new thoughts and states, toward friendship with the different and the alien. It will be strange, sad, and joyful. Alla Gorbunova is a poet and prose writer from Saint Petersburg, laureate of the Andrei Bely Prize for the book "While the Alphabet Burns Out" and the NOS Prize for the collection "The End of the World, My Love."
